Almora is a region in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand state.
History of Almora
Chand kings ruled here between 1500 and Chand kings shifted their capital from Champawat to Almora.
Almora was captured by Gurkha in 1719. Today, all the people of Nepal who live in Almora are ancestral to the Gurkha people. He ruled here for 24 years
In 1815, the British visited Almora, at that time they did not know about Nainital, the British developed much here, at that time, Almora was a region surrounded by dense forests with a cold climate.
The British made arrangements for building education, arts, and management here, and at that time Almora used to be a part of Pithoragarh.
In 1960, it became part of Bageshwar and in 1997 Almora became a separate district.

This temple is on the Ranikhet road from Almora and its distance is 17 km from Almora.
