How to Reach Dhanolti

To visit  Dhanaulti, you must first come to Dehradun. You can reach Dehradun by Bus, By Train or By Air. The distance from Dehradun to Dhanaulti is 65 kilometers.

By Bus

After reaching Dehradun by any means, you can visit Dhanoli on road by bus, taxi, or bike. The distance of Dhanolti is 65 km from Dehradun.

By Train

To visit Dhanaulti from any city in India, you have to come to Dehradun first.

Dehradun is well connected through rail to all the major cities of India. By train, you can reach Dehradun and from Dehradun, by road, you can go to Dhanaulti.

From Dehradun railway station you get taxi and bus for Dhanaulti.

By Air

The nearest airport to go to Dhanolti is Jolly Grant  Airport Dehradun.

Distance from Dehradun Airport to Dhanaulti is 85 kilometer .

From the airport, you can hire a taxi or bus to Dhanolti.

From Dehradun Airport, You can visit Dhanaulti  through two routes.

  1. If you go through Mussoorie, you will have to travel 92 kilometers

  2. Via Narendra Nagar and Chamba distance is 92 km.

Surkanda Devi Temple

Surkanda Devi Temple is also a major religious place in Dhanaulti.

It is 8 kilometers from Dhanaulti and is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Mata Sati where the head portion of Mata Sati is worshiped.

From Dhanolti you can go to Surkunda temple by hiring a taxi or through your personal vehicle.

There is parking on the main road itself and from here you have to climb 1.5 kilometers to reach the temple.

If you want, you can also complete this distance from the mule.

Ropeway work is going on here, which is completed soon.

Complete the 3 km trek slowly by enjoying this trek, you will get to see the most beautiful views.

You will not have any problem with food on the whole trek, on the way you will get Tea, Dumplings, Maggi, etc. to eat.

On reaching the temple, you will see the snow-capped high peaks of the Himalayas, which is very attractive.

Potato Garden

You can also go to the Potato Garden of Dhanaulti, which is a short distance from Dhanaulti, for this you will also have to trek on foot.

The special thing here is that it is a very famous Potato Garden in Uttarakhand and there are such a large number of potatoes that are exported to different states.

Budget

If you are going to Dhanaulti, then I think you will not need a night stay in Dhanaulti because you will visit the entire Dhanaulti in the daytime.

There is a 3–4 point to travel in Dhanaulti which you will cover throughout the day and then you can stay in Mussoorie at night, doing this will reduce your budget because resort to stay nights in Dhanaulti is very expensive.

But if you want to enjoy the camp, then you can stay in Dhanaulti.
