Jaisalmer Fort

Jaisalmer Fort is a World Heritage Site which is famous among tourists as well as being the best tourist spot of Jaisalmer.

This fort, which has been a witness to many historical battles, is made of yellow sandstone and when the sunlight reads in this fort, it starts shining like gold, for this reason it is also called Chunar Fort or Golden Fort.

There are 99 bastions in this fort. This fort was built by the Rajput ruler Jaisalmer, this fort is open for tourists from morning till 5:00 in the evening.

Patwoh ki Haweli

This seven-storey building made of yellow colored stone is famous as Patwa ki Haveli. Seth Guman Chand built this haveli for his sons in 1805.

Patwon ki Haveli is the first haveli of the entire Jaisalmer which is located near the Patwa Complex. There are five more havelis inside this haveli.

It took about 50 years to build this entire structure built on a 10-foot-high platform, the five havelis are decorated with fine carvings and artefacts, windows, balcony and railing.

This haveli is decorated with gold pen painting, ivory decoration, colorful paintings in the bedroom, it is adorned with figures of animals and birds, every tourist who comes to Jaisalmer becomes a fan of the haveli.

At present there is the office of the Archaeological Survey of India.

Salim Singh Ki Haweli

Salim Singh ki Haveli is a 300 year old mansion present in Jaisalmer. This haveli is located near the railway station.

Salim Singh ki Haveli was built in the early 18th century, a part of which is still inhabited by its descendants, this haveli is known for its excellent architecture.

The roof of this mansion with 38 balconies looks like a peacock, that is why this mansion is so famous among tourists.

Garisar Lake

Gadisar Lake was built by the first Raja of Jaisalmer, Ravel Jaisal. Therefore it was built in the south part of Jaisalmer.

Later Maharawal Ded Si  reconstructed it, many small temples, pilgrimage sites and many migratory birds coming from outside the country will be seen here, as well as near the lake you can see the gate of Lake made of yellow sandstone.

Garisar Lake is the first choice of tourists coming from India and abroad , reason for this is, the hills spread around here and the lake running along the road offers a very beautiful view.

Thar Heritage Museum

This museum is known for the coins, utensils, paintings etc. found during the excavation, apart from this you can also see the pictures of the royal families of Jaisalmer in this museum, this museum shows the history of Jaisalmer, it is a best place for history lovers.

Kuldhara

It is a historical village situated at a distance of 25 km from Jaisalmer. Where it can be visited only between sunrise and sunset. 200 years of age mud houses can be seen here.

 According to history, earlier Paliwal Brahmins had settled here, but due to the cruel ruler there, they left the entire village in one night and since then this village is considered a cursed village, currently .

This village is counted in the top haunted side of India.

Jaisalmer War Museum

Jaisalmer War Memorial was established on 24 Aug 2015. This memorial was built in 1965 on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the war between India and Pakistan.

This memorial is located at a distance of 10 km from Jaisalmer on Jaisalmer Jodhpur road. Here the weapons used in the war are displayed, along with the aircraft used in the Indo-Pak war.

Nathmalji ki Haweli

This haveli is very famous for its architectural style. This mansion was built by the Maharaja for his Dewan Nathmal ji, many attractive paintings have been made in the building, apart from this, many types of pictures of horses and cattle are slowly filled on the walls.

Jain Mandir
