Garjia Devi Temple

Garjia Devi Temple is known by many names. One of the famous name is Girija Devi.

This temple is one of the major temples of Mata Parvati. Being the daughter of Giriraj Himalayas, she is called Girija Devi.

In this temple, maa Bhagwati is situated in the form of the goddess Maa Vaishno Devi. Devotees from far and wide come to visit this temple in the Navratras.

The Garjia temple is situated on a peak in the middle of the Kosi river.

The distance of this temple is 12 kilometers from Ramnagar. Bus and auto are available to come here.

It is said about this temple that this temple is established here flowing in the Koshi river and everyone is surprised to see this temple because this temple has been established on a high mound in the middle of the river for many years.

And there is a gathering of devotees on the Kosi river to bathe on some special occasions.

Presently, a 4-foot-tall idol of Girija Mata is installed in this temple. Along with this, a marble statue of Goddess Saraswati, Lord Ganesha, and Batuk Bhairav is located.

Sitabani

Sitabani is an ancient pilgrimage site. Which is located in Ramnagar, Nainital District of Uttarakhand state of India.

This pilgrimage site is mainly related to the Ramayana period of the Treta Yuga era. When Lord Rama had abandoned Mata Sita, then during exile, Mata Sita stayed in the ashram of sage Valmiki in this Sitabani.

Lav Kush was born at this place, a huge fair is organized here every year in the festival of Mahashivaratri.

Sitavali is a pilgrimage place as well as a major tourist place. Rishi Valmiki’s ashram is located at a distance from Sitabani temple.

Sitabani temple has the statue of Mother Sita along with her son Luv Kush.
